Bansko is situated at an equal distance (160 km) from the 3 major cities, of Sofia, Plovdiv in Bulgaria and Thessaloniki in Greece. If you drive, please, check the South-East European road map. The roads are good and you can drive easily from Sofia on the E78 to Simitly and turn on the road to Bansko.
